Faustino Carceller S.L. is a technical office specialised in naval engineering and consulting, based in Vigo, Pontevedra. With over 25 years of experience, the company has completed more than 300 newbuild projects, including fishing vessels, tugboats, dredgers, and barges.

They engaged Easyworks to provide outsourcing services. Our technical team worked both on-site at their facilities when required and from our own offices, depending on project needs.

We participated in the development of a dredger, whose design and calculations were carried out by F. Carceller. The vessel was built at a shipyard in Viana do Castelo, Portugal, where our specialists also travelled to work closely with the project team.

Easyworks’ scope of work consisted of designing the vessel’s piping network routing for its different onboard systems. These systems included, among others, ventilation lines, fire protection systems, diesel piping, and sewage piping systems.

To do so, we are provided with the vessel’s structural CAD files on one hand, and piping schematics on the other. Based on this information, we carry out the 3D modelling of the different lines, i.e. the routing.

From these 3D models, we deliver the isometrics, which are essentially drawings of each piping line shown in an isometric view, intended for fabrication and installation.

More than three engineers worked simultaneously throughout the project. However, thanks to Easyworks’ collaborative working tools, all generated data was managed and shared instantly and in an up-to-date manner, enabling parallel work across the team.

• For this project, up to four engineers worked simultaneously, enabled by Easyworks’ collaborative working tools, in a simple and efficient way.
• We created more than 400 piping lines for the different systems.
• More than 3GB of technical documentation were generated.
