New Service: Code-Compliant Structural Steel Design
We are launching a new service focused on structural steel design, specifically tailored for projects where structures must comply with applicable regulations and require full technical justification within project documentation.
In this area, our capabilities cover a wide range of applications, from canopies, platforms, and walkways to portal frames, industrial buildings, bolted and welded connections, base plates, and more. We provide a thorough and detailed validation of all calculations, fully aligned with the standards you specify.
Depending on the type of structure, its location, and its intended use, different design codes may apply. For example, within the European framework, Eurocodes govern steel structure design, while in Spain the applicable standards include the Structural Code, which replaces previous regulations such as the Building Technical Code, the EHE concrete code, and the EAE steel code, among others.
As required by law, projects of this scale must include full justification of compliance. Our structural design service delivers complete technical documentation, referencing applicable clauses, formulas, and step-by-step calculations, clearly indicating whether each verification is satisfied.
For these projects, we use CYPE 3D, a robust solution for analyzing all types of structural systems based on bar elements, including the design of both welded and bolted connections.
Beyond Design: Full Engineering Delivery
Once the structure has been sized and verified, Easyworks can extend the scope using Tekla Structures, a BIM-based 3D modeling software in which we are certified.
This allows us to generate:
- General arrangement drawings
- Assembly drawings
- Detailed fabrication drawings
Each component is automatically assigned a position mark, enabling efficient documentation and traceability. The system also allows us to extract all types of reports and material lists.
