About the customer

Galopín Playgrounds is a company specialising in the conceptualisation of unique play spaces. They are Spanish leaders in the design and production of outdoor play equipment and are currently expanding internationally.

They are a multidisciplinary team that uses all kinds of languages and construction techniques to design and manufacture exclusive spaces of great social impact.

Project
In the midst of international expansion, the need arises to optimise and improve their design processes to the maximum. With this need in mind, they contacted us. Their main objective was to reduce design times in the office. More specifically, the design time of their slide models.

Once Easyworks received the order, we developed a model type for the slides in SOLIDWORKS. This model type is parameterised in such a way that new designs can be created quickly and efficiently.

By modifying the file properties with the new design data, the model type is automatically updated by generating the new geometry without the need to make a 3D model from scratch. In parallel, the manufacturing drawings are also updated according to the new geometry automatically, so there is no need to create new drawing documents either. This greatly simplifies the revision and manufacturing processes.

Results
Thanks to the use of this master model, Galopín has optimised the design process of its slides to the maximum. This translates into an estimated time reduction from one week to 4 hours.
